She has a Corolla, it's rated at 1500. But I'm not real comfortable letting her tow with it.
To me it's just too under powered.
It's far from flat here. But it's a little Apache pop up with a 1300lb dry weight.
We live in WV, not only would a 2WD SUV be hard to find. It would be pretty worthless about half of the year.
That's why I'm trying to find something suitable for my daughter to tow her little Apache.
On paper her Corolla will do it, by about a 200lb...
I'm sure that the Max Tow package has a trans cooler.
That is the usually the biggest difference with most tow packages. That and a hitch/trailer...

You can put a trans cooler on nearly any auto trans vehicle for less than $40.

I don't know how set you are on sleeping in the trailer.
But, you could mount some crossbars to the top of the trailer and put a roof top tent on...
I know there is a VERY shallow mount water tank that will fit under there. It's about 10 gallons.
