1985 Starcraft paper thin ceiling material rippling - not from water

My 1985 Starcraft Starmaster 21 has ceiling covered with a paper thin material that is now beginning to ripple. The trailer is always stored with a tarp over a thick plastic sheeting so water would not be the issue. There is no staining as well. I would imagine it's just from age and heat mostly. The southern California sun can be brutal during the summer months.

I have owned this pop up for over 10 years and it's well cared for.

Anyone have a fix for this? I have tried pressing the ripples back flat, but that just causes the ceiling material to split.

    Below are some images.

Is it sagging in the middle? Seems like this is always caused by moisture but I will say that I have the same looking stuff in my 85 Coleman and even though it stays in the garage, I do see more rippling every year. I still wonder if condensation is causing it. I was going to try some glue in a syringe type thing and squeeze in there and make the best of it. I looked at possibly wall papering the ceiling and its kind of expensive in my opinion.
