custom elevated pop up

    Call me a redneck, but I'd be totally cool with that. :laugh: I've seen the photo before and thought it was a great idea, although not sure that canvas would survive highway speeds.

    [LOL] I suppose they would need to hire an escort driver to run a high pole ahead of them. I never even thought of that.

    No. The overall height is not that high when the pup is closed. I would guess that it is around 10' tall when closed and that is not problem with wires.

    Closing it is a whole other issue. Good luck closing the bunk end over the hood!

    This is one pup that you don't want to forget to shut the vent cover.

    Its a Ford climb right up there and push it in a few dents in the hood wont hurt the truck.

    I've seen a pic of a popup on pontoons, but this is a little 'over the top.'

    upscale upgrade with elevator or escalator for entry and exiting.

    Something similar is common in the 4x4 groups actually. Usually they will get a gooseneck and put the pup on the upper deck so you have room for your wheeler on the lower deck. But it you dont have or want a gooseneck, that would work when towing a flatbed.
