not mine, but worthy of a chuckle or two.
Call me a redneck, but I'd be totally cool with that. I've seen the photo before and thought it was a great idea, although not sure that canvas would survive highway speeds.
You may have to mod the entry step a bit.
Roof top tent...customized
Is that what they call going to the Dark Side??
I suppose they would need to hire an escort driver to run a high pole ahead of them. I never even thought of that.
No. The overall height is not that high when the pup is closed. I would guess that it is around 10' tall when closed and that is not problem with wires.
Closing it is a whole other issue. Good luck closing the bunk end over the hood!
This is one pup that you don't want to forget to shut the vent cover.
Its a Ford climb right up there and push it in a few dents in the hood wont hurt the truck.
Looks like they drive around with it open. Just can't go to fast, I imagine.
Don't forget the bunk end bungees.
I've seen a pic of a popup on pontoons, but this is a little 'over the top.'
upscale upgrade with elevator or escalator for entry and exiting.
Forget the canvas... I don't think the truck would survive highway speeds!
Something similar is common in the 4x4 groups actually. Usually they will get a gooseneck and put the pup on the upper deck so you have room for your wheeler on the lower deck. But it you dont have or want a gooseneck, that would work when towing a flatbed.
