We have two tween age children. Taking their bicycles is a must for our sanity. After researching about hitch swaying bike racks and expensive rail systems, my husband made a rack for our camper. He used materials we already had, purchased some hardware and made it easy on this short mom to have only help from 12-year-old son to mount bikes on the camper. The first trip from Nashville to Gallatin/Bledsoe Creek State Park saw no problems and promised many trips in the future. The rack can stay on the camper when it is up or can easily be removed. Here are some pictures. He said to note the weight distribution design on the rack.
