Don Carter state park

    Posting live from don carter. Anyways this is my second stay here. Our first stay was horrible but we left in a rush so to be fair we decided to stay again and still don't like it.

    Maybe it's the lack of trees or the fact that everything is paved or the train every 10 minutes after 10pm. I don't know.

    We never reserved a spot yet since there are many available all the time.

    One good side is the beach. Clean not too crowded and feels awesome when it's high 80s.

    I would agree with this post. The lake is beautiful but there is way too much asphalt here. Seems very much geared toward the Class A and 5'er crowd.

    That is our test camp park due to the nice facilities, paved roads and being only 40 minutes from the house. It certainly isn't the most beautiful park.
