Yeah it was finally time to retire ol' Barbara Sue my 2004 Chevy Silverado from the camping trips. At 223k it was beginning to be a game of roulette as to whether or not she would hold up on those long trips plus with 2 people and a 55lb. dog the standard cab was getting tight. We bought a very nice 2014 F150 SuperCrew with the 3.5L V6 and it pulls the rig like it wasn't even back there. Our first trip with the the new truck and camper will be Oct. 18-22 so we'll see how Ms. Audrey does in the mountains but I'm sure she'll be fine.

Hope to see y'all out there!

Beautiful truck! Why the v6 over the 8?

We actually looked at a V8 4x4 but this truck was a lot nicer with less miles. It has the twin turbo ecoboost motor on it which gives it plenty of power and pulling ability and I also liked how it's already set up for towing because it has the factory brake controller and transmission cooler installed already.
