Hi, we are from Vancouver BC, the not so white North. For those of you that are from the south, Vancouver weather is identical to Seattle, Wa.
My wife and I have been enjoying our 2007 Aliner Expedition since 2010. We bought it used in Portland in early 2010. It's been a great traveler and we have put tens of thousands of kilometers on it, mostly going down into California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Oregon.
The Aliner is a practical and sensible travel trailer and because of its low profile it fits into the parkade at work, perfect!

Hello P. Tofino is a wonderful place to visit and the Green Point Campground is second to none. But be aware of the cougars as there are several in that area and they are right near the camping. Sometimes you get to see them or their foot prints in the wet sand or mud. Are you interested in hiking to a crashed airplane? There is a Canso aircraft that crashed during the final days of WWII. Its on the east flank of Radar Hill which is just north of Green Point. It's a super cool site to visit as there were no casualties. The crew, which was monitoring the west coast looking for Japanese subs, was able to walk away from the wreck. All of the explosives that were on board were set off near the aircraft, leaving a perfectly round crater which is now a large pond. Hardly anybody is aware of how to get there. Going north from Green Point, hang a left on the access road to Radar Hill. Then park immediately on your left. Walk back to the main road and head south (toward Green Point) on the west side of the road. After a short walk you will come across a trail going straight into the forest at a right angle to the road. Follow the trail to an abandoned bunker like concrete structure. Walk around it. On its back side the trail goes downhill a bit and into an area with a lot of moist ground and/or mud (depending on the season). Keep going from exposed tree roots to tree roots keeping an eye on coloured markings (yes we write colour instead of color:)). This is the worst part of the trail but it isn't very long and you get to higher ground. Keep going until you see the gentle rise of Radar Hill. Scan the area for the tail of the plane which sticks out, quite high in the trees. It really is an amazing sight. The engines came off the wings upon impact and they are lying ahead of the plane. The twisted fuselage is all aluminum so it hasn't rusted away. There is some graffiti on the fuselage but it's quite possible to take pictures without the graffiti showing. If you want to see photos and the story just google Canso wreck Radar Hill BC and you'll get there.
To the south of Green Point, just north of Ucluelet, is Florencia Bay, which also is worth a visit. Just be aware of the incoming tide as it reaches the cliffs in some places and could cut off your exit. Enjoy!
