I wouldn't want to be behind him on the highway.

I believe that vehicle is towing beyond the factory capacity.

The raised hood mod increases the factory capacity by a factor of gamma.

I have seen this video a number of times now and each time I see it I am in shock. I had a 3cyl metro that looked just like this after highschool that I drove for a number of years. Two adults, 2 mountain bikes and a couple of suitcases and blankets for a trip out to Door County was pretty painful in it. Barely had enough power to keep up on the highway but got great gas mileage! Freaky to drive, I cant imagine towing anything with one of them including a pop up and a boat. Lets hope they lived down the road from a campground and this gets this stuff there via back roads.

Did it have MN plates? If it did only double tow is TV/Fifth wheel/Trailer, and towing rating of the pickup truck is equal to or greater than the total weight of all vehicles being towed. Also the trailer hitch assemblies, must conform to MN Statute.

You guys are missing the best part. Think how easy "backing" is for him. Remember the "cab-over" contraption that hooks to the top of a VW Bug like that? They just turn around under the hitch and push it into the site by driving forward. This one would work the same way. Like this:

Of course this one also leaves the hitch at "between the eyes" level in the dark of a campground, but that's all the more reason not to cut through this guy's site.

Don't forget the *raised* quad exhaust.

Seriously, I think the tongue weight might be over the crush weight for the roof of the vehicle. Not to say he didn't get creative and maybe reinforced the roof.

Did see it and thought you must like finding these little gems.
At least the one in your picture is not over his draw bar weight. Might even be able to stop quicker with all those wheels and brakes behind them.
Towing up hilll will be a drag though! All the way down!! !Bah Dah Boom!
