    Hi all-
Working on my 1st popup, a '93 Coleman Chesapeake.
The tires are worn inside (the guy said from overloading as he had the axle replaced a few years ago (have receipt from reputable shop).

Can I replace them with 4.8-12 rims and tires (assuming the load range is acceptable)? What are the downsides? things to watch out for?
    thanks all!

The 4.80X12 tires have a lower max load capacity, and are about the same diameter. So what are you gaining? Just my 2 cents but the camper will ride better with the big wide 10's

Thanks- I was only asking because there is a pair of 4.8-12 rims/tires for the same price (on craigslist) as 1 new 20.5-10 from wallmart.

    I may stick w/ 10s then.
