Personally I'd rather go back north or northwest than south or southeast of SA.

I don't blame you Bart [emoji4]. You guys live in a awesome area to be campers. So much North of you to explore but still in the middle. I feel a little limited down here but there are some great spots.

I'd love to go to the coast at some point, but I'm not driving that far over a 3 or 4 day weekend. The original reason for choosing a campground in the middle of the triangle, ryan, was to prevent someone from driving 45 minutes, and someone else from driving 5 hours all to get to the same rally, considering those from the first puppers rally were all located, within reason, close to dallas, SA, or Houston. Hence why we always tried to pick an area central to that triangle. Obviously this has been an ongoing issue for you in trying to attend our rallies, so as suggested before, I'd just say to see if you can get a "southern chapter" rally going for all you folks that are further down south. Just as you don't want to drive 5 hours to come up to us, we can't realistically do 5 hours headed down to accommodate yall, and that's speaking of my family specifically, not speaking for anyone else. I'd say at this point, with this continuing to be an issue every time we discuss a new rally, split the group. Yall stay under the Texas Puppers wing as a southern chapter and do your own thing with your own rallies, and obviously if us folks from the north can make it we will, and vice versa. Texas is just way too big of a state to get people from the red river, and those from the coast to all meet up on a regular basis without expectations of this same issue rising time and time again.

Not one to mix the mud up, but I grew up on the coast....and well since I lived in Germany for 10 years, I got accustomed to them hills , trees and varying topological features. I moved to central Texas for work back then, now it has become my home. I am fortunate to be able to drive about 3-4 hrs any direction for new territory. I will go to any rally North, South, East or near West. I am no longer a flat lander.[LOL]

carey3782, no final plans yet. Several Puppers leaning toward WolfCreek Park on Lake Livingston in Mid summer. Tall pines , lots of shade. It is fairly close to you. Look Up Cold Spring , Texas. It is near Cleveland Texas which is above Conroe just off Interstate 45. Some one will post soon. Richard

Great, I'll keep watching for updates! I looked up Wolf Creek and it's doable for us, I've added it to my list of places to camp. ;) We camped at Double Lake in Cold Spring a couple weeks ago. Looking forward to hearing the final plans and hopefully booking our spot!

I'd like to attend these rallies, but I never can. We are in North Texas and don't mind driving where ever. I love South Texas river country.
Thing is....anyone around here under age 45 with small kids that are homeschooled, or not in school, that is free Tuesday through Thursday? I like working weekends because when I camp in the week the parks are empty, but it would be nice to have somebody to camp with from time to time. Seems everyone in our bracket of life is working in the week and/or have kids in school.

When you get this portal rally together it would be 29 for 2015 beating 28 for 2014!

What about June back at Lake Limestone? July is getting pretty warm....We'll have a jet ski or boat or both if I get off my butt and put our boat back together.
