I just bought a 1995 Coleman royale. Driving home today from our first trip I noticed a ticking sound around the tire . Thought it could of been a rock stuck in the treads . But that's not the case . Any idea what it could be ??

Found out the trailer inspection here isn't very reliable. Think they only check to see if the camper stops and passes it. A week after inspection my barrings overheated on her first camping trip, and while the shop had the wheel off they noticed my breaks were shot as well. Scary thought because I thought it was thoroughly checked and safe to drive it 6 hours home from where I bought the camper from. Lesson learned.

Too many variables I think. I'd jack it up, try to wiggle it, spin it, etc and see if you can recreate the sound. You could also try swapping the wheels if possible and see if the problem follows the wheel or stays put.
