    More of an accessory really

Ok. So I have been on the hunt for one of these since I saw it in the brochure I got with my camper. It is a 2003 Coleman Santa Fe. I found it on Ebay. Probably paid too much for it, but I had to have it.

    1993 Coleman Destiny SUA. Tire

I have a question, if you performed an SUA, (Spring Under Axle) wouldn't that have lowered the trailer? Wouldn't it be an SOA (Spring Over Axle)? Not trying to be a jerk. Just asking as I am planning on doing an SOA job to get some height. I also wish people would stop calling it an axle flip...

1st trip of the year 2nd overall 2003 Coleman Sant Fe

Yes! I replaced the old rotten moldy one with the dometic trimline bag awning. This one came with 4 brackets that mount to the camper. The legs have balls on the end and they snap into the feet. Like a ball and socket. The legs have caps that cover the balls so you can put them on the ground and...

It really is in decent shape. The canvas could use a good cleaning though.

    Best Mattress Replacements?

Good idea! Seems like a decent affordable solution. I think I am going to hit up Ikea for an area rug for outside under the awning. Maybe an indoor/outdoor one. The kids tracked in so much mud this last trip i may need to pressure wash the thing out! We even made them take off their shoes...

    Advice on heaters...

I have been leaning towards a diesel heater too. Now that I have seen a few reviews and installs on the good old youtube. I still don't like the idea of having to carry another source of fuel, although, my TR is a diesel. I still need a separate tank and can to carry spare diesel for the...

    Best Mattress Replacements?

That is great info kitphantom. Much appreciated. I have talked it over with SWMBO and both have similar needs in a mattress. I think if we get a few years out of them, we would be ok with that.

    Best Mattress Replacements?

Thanks JimmyM. I like your idea. I am not sure if I have the clearance for a 6" mattress or not. I will try the tissue box test like kitphantom mentioned. I have seen it before somewhere else as well. Must be a good idea!

    Advice on heaters...

Thanks Guys. I have seen where you can use the thermal fan from a wood burning stove to help distribute the heat. Pretty informative youtube videos out there. I may look into that option with a hose connected to one of my 20 pound tanks. They seem pretty affordable compared to other options...

    Advice on heaters...

Thanks Davido! I also have dual Batteries and 20 pound propane tanks. Your info about the BTUs is helpful. I never knew the output of the suburban furnaces. I found wiring existing in my PUP for a furnace and thermostat I believe. Maybe it was an option? I will check them out more now...

    Best Mattress Replacements?

Here we go again. Looking for advice and experiences with mattress replacements for a PUP. The original 18 year old disintegrating, once made of foam bricks I slept on last weekend have to go! I have read article after article. What to do? Topper? Memory foam? Big topper to replace the...

    Advice on heaters...

Oh boy, I've done it now! I know this has been discussed until the propane has run out, the batteries are dead and we are all frozen! Looking for ideas and experiences with installing a heater in PUP that never had one in the first place. Leaning towards a Camco Wave 3 or 6. Seems like a...

New Owner in SF Bay area, CA

Thanks all! I did check the spare for size and to see if it actually held air. all good, except, I do not trust it's integrity, so it will be replaced. Cheap insurance. Back in my Land Rover days, I frequented the Mojave Desert, especially the Mojave Road. I hope to explore out there again...

New Owner in SF Bay area, CA

Hi all, New owner of a 2003 Coleman Santa Fe. I am new to PUPs, but not campers, trailers, fifth-wheels or motorhomes. I grew up camping in a trailer or motorhome of some kind. My parent's once bought a motorhome from Johnny Mathis. That is my Mom's favorite story to tell. I have owned it...
