For those campers who log their trips and site numbers :)

I'm tempted to reply with an image of Anthony Barr's clean hit on Rodgers, which provoked the league to essentially make it illegal to hit the QB, but I guess I've managed to squelch the urge (barely). I never really disliked Favre, so, yes, we loved it when he joined the 'dark side' (for you)...

I know the "north shore" of Superior very, very well and absolutely love it. Hiking along those rivers, staring at the waterfalls, skipping rocks across the big lake... that was my childhood. I miss that area dearly. My Vikings' fandom is a double-edged sword. Love it and hate it, and it...

    Dometic Fridge issues; advice needed

I've essentially come to the conclusion that our Aliners are simply not meant for dirt roads. They are very, very light duty. I say this because during the academic year we camp in state parks in TX, all of which have paved roads leading to them and they are full hookup sites and we never have...

    Dometic Fridge issues; advice needed

Will do. The mechanic said it might be a control board issue as well, but as far as I'm aware, there's no such thing on this cassette toilet, just a micro sensor. The manual we have for it is comically useless. Less comical, but equally frustrating is the way the water line is tied in...

    Dometic Fridge issues; advice needed

This took me 10 second to remove and nearly 10 minutes to put back in place. Holding the weight of the bed on my shoulders like doing squats in the gym while trying to get the tabs lined up while trying to not scratch my watch on the insanely tight space... finally got it back in. Mine was...

I hesitated to give you a like because, as a lifelong Vikings fan, "Packerland" as your location gives me the shivers, haha. I use (read: obsessively study/ dream over while stuck in the hot TX plains of the Metromess) National Geographic Trails Illustrated Topo maps of Northern NM and...

We still keep maps and atlases in the car as a plan B. When we get into remote areas of NM there is often no signal. Actually, that would happen to us in northern MN too. I also love my topo maps for hiking and mountain biking. But other than that, yeah the game has changed so significantly.

    Locking Windows on Aliner

Solved it! Hot damn, we ARE smart, haha. OK, so here's the skinny for my camper, in case it helps anyone else. 1. Do the lubrication procedure that Hilldweller outlines above. Those plastic 'receivers' definitely are too tight/ coarse. 2. If you notice that the locking mechanism is...

    Locking Windows on Aliner

I'm green with envy. What are your outside temps? June-Sept here is just a beat down. So glad as educators we can get out for a good chunk of that. I did the protect all procedure you describe above and had success with the window on the commode side, but it did not solve the issue the sink...

Does AAA still prepare these? It screams 80s, but I can imagine some neo-luddites refusing to use google maps patiently waiting in a strip mall office for a AAA agent to highlight the route.

    Locking Windows on Aliner

Thanks for yet another useful tip, Bill! I'm heading out into the upper 80 degree North TX morning to try to deal with a few issues (the Fridge albatross still looms over me, I'll update when I figure it out), so this will be added to the list. Time to sweat! I'll be happy to have windows...

    Aliner AC Advice

I followed Hilldweller's method described here when I got mine about 14 months ago and saw a large improvement in performance. I camped in high 80s last September and had the interior in the low 70s. I wouldn't camp in TX in July/ August though. We've been over 100 for most of the past two...

For those campers who log their trips and site numbers :)

Fun to read through everyone's observations on this. As a perfectionist, I love to scout campgrounds and look for the site that would work best for us. I keep notes on my phone, because I always have it with me. It would probably be smart to collate the data onto a word document, but I'm less...

    A-frame Cover

We got this: It seems to run large. Not sure what I think of it yet, but even beneath a carport I felt like it was a good idea to use a cover (sun damage is brutal in TX, as is pollen).

    Dometic Fridge issues; advice needed

I'm sure I have two pounds of CO in mine. The much needed monsoon season started our last 5 days there and things got muddy quick.

    Dometic Fridge issues; advice needed

I just washed my hands, Bill! I'm afraid I crossed that mental threshold. My mind is focused on tomorrow's adventure, and my camper adventures are on hold. I'll do this in August though. Where does one access the Command air's filter? Luckily, I have orangutan arms, so I may be able to get it!

    Dometic Fridge issues; advice needed

Thanks. I'll look for that. I saw a video on YT that mentioned this. Edit: I searched for this, but did not find anything similar on my fridge, unfortunately. I tested voltage at the 3 amp fuse as you rec'd, and it's a solid 12.89. I'll attach a more complete picture of my control panel...

    Dometic Fridge issues; advice needed

Thanks. I have the diagram you posted in my manual. Fridge does not turn on with or without shore power. But the dometic rep told me that the on/off switch is controlled by DC, so that wouldn't determine much anyways. I very much appreciate the collective efforts here to help. Thanks all!

    Dometic Fridge issues; advice needed

Thanks for pointing this out. I got 12.9 reading on both sides. I opened the control panel (where the on button is) but wasn't sure where to even try to get a reading. There's all kinds of different colored wires going into a board there, none with uninsulated wire from which to get a...

    Dometic Fridge issues; advice needed

We have a two year warranty on our Fridge w/ Dometic, so I'm hoping they step up, otherwise that's exactly what I'll be looking into. Fortunately, we don't really trust ANYTHING on our camper, so we always have contingency plans. The gas and the water pump also gave us issues on this 2 week...
