Grand Teton NP to Grand Canyon NP

If it fits your itinerary hit the Swinging Steak for dinner, just south of Mexican Hat monument, there's also Gooseneck there as well. From a friends description there is camping but I don't know about hookups.. I'd guess not. Enjoy your trip.. I did PA to YNP down to GCNP last mid May to mid...

Soft Off-Roading tires. Stick with ST tires, or move up to LT tires?

I did not. Tire shop has been in business since 59, i'v personally been dealing with them since the late 70's. I trust their guidance, although i did disregard it..

    Pit boss table top smoker.

Perfect! I have one of these also. I was just up in Maine fishing and camping for 5 days, using the 1lb bottles. I left wondering if i could hook a larger tank to the unit.. Smoked a whole chicken and found i need a windbreak, wind would lower the temp as much as 20 degrees at times.

Soft Off-Roading tires. Stick with ST tires, or move up to LT tires?

Here in Pa i was informed at tire shop they could not install LT tires on my offroad popup legally.. so i went elsewhere and kept my mouth shut. My point is ya might want to check CO law.. Look at most Overlander's trailers, bet their running LT tires, and most try to match to the vehicle for...

It doesn’t get much more wildlife then this

If you pass by Scenic SD stop in and see if the Saloon is open.. it's as close to an old west saloon (dirt floor) as you'll find these days. It does occasionally open for business.. but i was never able to catch it. Across the street is a guy with a small museum type place with some cool old...

    Rebuilt Coleman Colorado

Considering you asking how hard it would be, leads me to consider you probably lack the tools and experience making some of the hard parts. Top of the list would be bow assemblies, bed slide, and specific bracketry. Sure it could be done but that guy probably wouldn't be wondering.. If you...

From what I understand the road was washed away at Soda Butte in Lamar Valley. IIRC that is just east of the employee lodging area.

    Spring in Yellowstone

They closed down Yellowstone to visitors, flooding, rock slides. Imagine it will be a few days till they assess the roads and bridges within the park. The house my family rented for 11 days a month ago is taking water north of the park. Tom Minor bridge was washed away. Looks like quite a...

    Planning X-Country Trip 2022

I paid $5.50 per gallon in Arizona on Indian land, highest on my trip. Most were 4.50ish elsewhere with Texas just under $4. I believe I topped 7k miles but will have to check. I knew going into this fuel costs were going to be high but I was prepared. Can't take it with ya Steve, enjoy the...
