Lots of great answers and ideas! I don’t mind the size at all. My initial thought was beefier tires would hold up better. We do like to put as much on the camper floor as possible when towing. We have two dogs who take up the back seat of the truck. Which means anything that you would carry in...
It seems like a fair normal tire. The size is 5.70-8.
I see on etrailer they offer a load range D tire mounted on a white rim that is the same bolt pattern and it’s very economical. The tires I have are load range C.
Etrailer says D range is good to 65 mph.
I’ll have to do some digging to...
I have a 97 Coleman Taos. I’m trying to upgrade the “golf cart” 8” tires that are on the thing. We are planning 3 trips this year over 4 hours each in the middle of summer. I’m concerned the 8” tires will not hold up to 55-65 mph on the highway/freeway In the heat.
Any suggestions?
Saw this show is coming up again in about a month. Is this only new campers and rv’s or are there accessories and upgrades to look at?
I’m not interested in a new camper, but could be interested in some accessories/upgrades for a more comfortable/enjoyable camp.

The campground is pretty small, but not too bad. We did walk the area on Sunday before we packed up. There are a bunch of nice spots up the hill from where we were, if you do not have 4 legged friends.
I’ll start out by saying this…what an awesome time.
So, I bought a 97 Coleman Taos about 2 months ago knowing it needed some work. I’ve been dwindling down the “needs repair“ list since I got it home. We ordered a new canvas for it, even though the current canvas was not beyond repair.
That...
Patched two holes and changed interior bulbs to LED. Prepping for the first ever, maiden voyage of the pup. Will probably be the only trip before spring. Wife decided we should go somewhere local to “test it out”. Sounds good to me. 70’s and 50’s all weekend here in Central Pa. Couldn’t resist...
I’m newly converted from tent to pup. I do plan on having a small tv with mini DVD player to keep stored in the camper. I’ve had too many trips interrupted at 6-7 pm by rain or storms while tent camping. We do read a bunch while camping, but just wanted another option for the Mrs. and I.
Hi there
We are new to the “pop up” world coming from tents and backpacking. In attendance will be my wife and I along with 2 dogs.
We’re looking forward to meeting new people who share the same passion for camping that we have.
I’m currently in the “rebuild” stage of our new to us 97 Coleman...
