Advanced Wind Protection for an A-Frame Trailer

Wind Cheetah's are well worth the money. Randy Floyd installed mine at an A-frame tech rally hosted by John Pfiel (? spelling his last name). The strongest wind I encountered was last year, end of June, coming through Oklahoma. Raising the roof was daunting, but I felt secure knowing I had...

    2018 Arizona Spring Rally

I live in Cottonwood, so some great places to go are: Old Town Cottonwood is now a bustling little city within Cottonwood. Great restaurants, wine tasting rooms, boutiques, rock-shop, Olive Oil shop, pet-shop, little market, etc. Jerome is an old mining city up in the mountains and seen from...

    2018 Arizona Spring Rally

Thanks for the information on the Retro Rally date. I'll either stop by and say hello or camp and then stop by and say hello. If you see a gal with a beautiful black greyhound (with 3 legs) that's my Queenie and myself.

    Midwest Hwy 54

Has anyone traveled Hwy 54 from NM into Kansas? Seems like a nice route to get away from Oklahoma City. I'm wondering about camp sites on this stretch of road.

    2015 - Arizona Spring Rally

Re: Arizona Rally I'm up for an Arizona Rally. Dead Horse State Park is always good for me. They have lots to offer from kayaking, biking, hiking, fishing, bird watching, horse back riding, and the list goes on! Anytime before June as after that I'm heading out of state for a month.

    Camping with 2 dogs

I have 2 greyhounds who love to camp as much as I do! I do hook them up before I open the door. They are very well leashed trained (goes back to racing days) and obey when I let one go first, then the other, out the door. I too have used the portable fence(s). They do enjoy relaxing off...

    Beaches of Olympic Peninsula, WA

Thanks. This helps. When is the low tide and high tide? So, the water will still be cold? Even in July? I haven't booked reservations yet, as I usually like to be open as to how long I'll be at any place. Might have to change that coming to this area. Thanks again. I'm really excited to...

    Beaches of Olympic Peninsula, WA

I'm looking forward to my trip to the Olympic Peninsula, and surrounding beaches, mid July. Questions for those who been there: Are the beaches easy to reach? I love to walk, as does my greyhound, but his feet are now sensitive to hard rocks. He can wear his shoes (yep, he really does have...

    High Mileage Vehicles

I'm excited to hear about all these TV's with high miles! My Dodge Grand Caravan is about to turn 100K and she still runs, and pulls, great. I keep up with all the maintenance as recommended by Dodge. My van is comfortable for both me and my greyhound. With the high cost of vehicles I plan...

    Staying connected

Thanks for the reply. [LOL] I won't be driving off, got the bathroom in the camper! And I found out, the hard way, that I need to disconnect the electric from the van to the camper so I don't drain the van's battery. Always a learning lesson in life.

    Staying connected

On one night camping I leave the camper connected to my van. If I need to level front to back I use the campers jack to level while still connected to my van. Does this cause any problems with the hitch, or ball on the hitch? Should I be putting a simple jack under the hitch on my van to...

    2013 - Arizona Spring Rally

Welcome Phxdog. You'll enjoy the drive up from Phoenix, and Payson is also great to see and pick up anything you might have forgotten. Last year someone posted easy to follow directions so I hope they show up again this year. I remember the turnoff road from 260 was across from a pull off...
