    2 batteries vs. 1

Everyone has been so helpful with their thoughts that it seems like my biggest concern is still just the potential of uneven wear on the batteries. We don't use the battery for too much and were on shore power 99% of our trips. We don't even run the fridge while in transit- I know the camper...

    2 batteries vs. 1

That was my understanding too but we've decided not to mess with Thor or his hammer so far!

    2 batteries vs. 1

We haven't been running the fridge while in tow. I thought I heard people talking about how it somehow messed with the TV battery. But it sounds like none of you have had issues with anything like that.

That's what I was thinking too. Thanks!

    2 batteries vs. 1

I'll keep that in mind for the future but I'm not looking to spend any more money if I don't have to!

    2 batteries vs. 1

Y Yeah, mostly just weight. I know it won't save that much but it seems like every year the family adds a few more things to haul, haha.

    2 batteries vs. 1

I tried to search to see if this has been addressed but didn't see anything. We have a Rockwood 2318G that's only a few years old that has 2 batteries. We've only camped one time at a park without electrical hookups (Indiana Dunes NP), so it seems like the primary function of our battery is to...

What State? When is your first 2023 trip? What will be the predicted weather?

We're going to going to Mississippi Palisades State Park(IL) over Memorial day for the long weekend. I wish we could go sooner but between school and getting time of work, that's the best we can do. Spring break in early April was a possibility if the weather cooperated but my wife and I have...

Kettle Moraine Southern Unit - Whitewater Lake

For sure! I like a good light-hearted ribbing! We live in Chicago an I do a lot of commuting around the city by bike and drivers are definetly getting crazier and more impatient. Out in the suburbs too. Honestly though, that trip to Devils Lake was the first time we've seen aggressive drivers...

Haha! We were the only FIBS in sight!

Kettle Moraine Southern Unit - Whitewater Lake

We were at Devils lake in October and were shocked how fast some people were driving through the campground. I haven't seen it as bad anywhere else.

    Counter Top Edge - Re-glue?

After re-reading the original post, I edited my answer. You're definitely correct though.

    Counter Top Edge - Re-glue?

If it's normal laminante, use an iron! This sounds like it's a little different though. Normally you can just set and iron to medium and go over it like your ironing clothes for a minute or two to warm up the glue under it and them "roll" the laminate with a towel on your palm twoards the edge...

Is your pup a "Gateway Drug"?

And these stories mirror ours! Even down to the exact same rockwood that you got... although we got it in Feburary weren't able to take it out until May. It feels like were too fancy in this pup with all the amenities! The camping season around Chicago isn't as long as it is in other parts of...

No hate: post your best vegetarian/vegan camp meals

Our whole family has been vegan for years. This last trip we did camping pie irons filled with (premade at home) mashed potatoes, salsa, blackbeans and corn in tortillas. We do a lot of foil packs with satan and veggies. Oatmeal on the stove for breakfast. Pancakes on the griddle the other days...

    Thin the Herd?...

I understand. I think Daveo had a great approach to it. Generally everyone here has been great that I have seen.

Thanks for posting this. My initial response to this thread as a new member is, woof- there sure are a lot of gate keepers here.
