@Arlyn Aronson… you are correct. If you’re buying a lightweight trailer, you need to keep in mind that most lightweight trailers also have lightweight, thin frames. It’s one of the reasons why we went with a off road trailer with a heavy duty frame. Our trailer is constructed for going off...
@Bruce wayne… Thanks. I got tons of help from Rick (GNWF) as a newbie and now it’s my turn to pass knowledge to others. It’s why I’m still active on this forum even though I have a travel trailer now. This is a GREAT forum and I love it. It’s why I am still here.

@xxxapache…. You are lucky. Our Boy Scouts we’re always getting sick from dirty hands, food not properly cooked or dishes washed with cold water. My kid took over his patrol as their cook a month after his crossover into the troop from cub scouts. He didn’t trust them to wash their hands when...
@teejaywhy… I love their trailers but they’re too heavy for our Titan. If I ever upgrade to a bigger truck then I might have to trade up to a Northwood.
The only way to know is inspecting your trailer frame. We did ours after @BillyMc posted it.

@Austin694… looks great. Don’t forget to add protective wire screens to the fridge vent door to prevent insects like wasps from making a home/nest. They can cause headaches later by blocking your pipes. They are attracted to the smell of LP.
We have protective screens on our fridge vent...
We go boondocking or dry camping at the campgrounds often. We are conservative with LP & battery power. We always leave our water heater turned off until I start cooking. And we switch it on 15 minutes before showering. That’s plenty of time before using it and the water is HOT enough to cut...
One of our members posted his bed lift on YouTube… Check it out here:
Rick has lots of good ideas and information. He was a GREAT mentor for me when I got my Aliner years ago. I still follow his channel even though I have a different trailer now. His modifications are upgrades which helped...
@djmello99 … Sounds good.
We camp by the Mustang Gas Station north of Hwy 260 and Hwy 87. We fill up our freshwater tank before heading down the forest road to go boondocking. I’ll be up there in July, August and now September since my doublesite has changed to a single campsite.
I’ll be...
We always used the water heater in our trailers. Washing dishes and showering. Having 6 gallons of hot water is awesome instead of heating a smaller amount in a pot.
Having a water heater is very useful for us when camping.

@PopUpSteve… that certainly is a good idea. We should all test our propane fire pits and gauge how long a 20pd tank lasts. Different brands and sizes will vary how long each lasts.
My Outland Firebowl Deluxe 890 lasts 8 hours on low with a 20pd. propane tank.
Folks, gauge your propane...
@mark CASTELLANI…. No worries. It’s all good. I just got lucky with C-19 and my health has changed since. Plus living in the SW and facing a MEGA drought doesn’t help either.
Normally we bring two tanks because it’s standard on our Kodiak TT and was before with the Aliner. My Outland and...
I checked my email reservation and there’s no description of being a doublesite or premium rv site on it. Just the campsite number only is listed. I happened to go and check their website recently to confirm campsite allowances for my campsite when I noticed it’s no longer being described as a...
I love to camp at a certain state park. It takes a year to make reservations cause it’s a VERY popular campground. Possibly the best in AZ.
I made reservations last September 2021 for a doublesite for September 2022. I reserved it so my GF or family could join us. After checking my...
Someone started a list of their preferred hybrid travel trailer. It’s a start.

Looks good. We almost did the same except DH wanted a stand placed on top of the counter instead. It would of been nice to have a drawer there since storage is so limited in an Aframe. Nice work!

@Breckler23… sorry there’s no list. I always compile my own list. I usually go to RVTrader online and filter results based on my preferences (ie: sleeping capacity). You shift through units to create a custom list of your preferred trailers. I also visit websites for all manufacturers to see...
@JoanB… It’s common. Originally, Aliner has a plastic tape installed to prevent rubbing. But once that falls off, it’s hard to re-attach. I found a solution online. The owner from Midwestern AFrame Repair & Service recommended to use Velcro to prevent rubbing. It works well. We added Velcro...
After having Covid-19 back in 2020… I can’t tolerate smoke anymore. It’s tough on my lungs. My post C-19 breathing issues don’t make it any easier. I can’t smell or breath well. I use an inhaler when it’s windy, dusty or smoke.
