Damn. Yes, very common injury for dogs spayed or neutered before 18-24 months. They need the hormones for their growth plates to properly close. When fixed early, it limits those important hormones.
I am very sorry to hear about the injury. Wishing for a speedy recovery.
Interesting.
How much rise on the ball if you didn't have bags to level the trailer?
How much rise on the ball with the bags at 25psi to level the trailer?
The ball height from the hitch has an affect here as well.
AirBags will only reduce sag in the back end.
In the end, they will increase rear axle weight and reduce front axle weight. This may cause them to overload the rear axle rating.
Far better off with a WDH to correct the sag issue as it helps keep more weight on the front axle and trailer axle...
It's an awesome (but heavy) trailer lol .... I had problems with my lift system too.
Our campers use a Shelby 5438 winch system. Unfortunately, they no longer make them and parts are pretty hard to find used.
In the end, I had to design the gears in a CAD program and provide a DXF file to a...
It's not really free, I'd have to buy the aluminum channel. That is a possibility, but the canvas had dry rot (we just got our new Bear Creek Canvas) and the water did damage the wood a little in the corners where the support bars attach as well.
I'd rather just fix it right and have it last a...
My information comes from Al @ Bear Creek Canvas who has experience with cold weather pop-up comping.
He claims that the cold from under the bunk ends is significant and can be mitigated with a sheet of corrugated cardboard between the mattress and bunk end plywood.
This is my concern about the Norlock product., that said, corrugated products tend to have incredible flex strength. I believe it's rated at 25lbs/sq in.
Currently, my OEM ones are not one piece. The usual plywood with a scab piece of 1/8" luan on both sides.
This is why I was thinking of T&G plywood for the joint. The smaller piece closer to the inside of the trailer (as it currently is). Alternatively, I was going to source an aluminum...
1.) Waiting to hear, but I don't pay what the average person would pay, as I'm a supplier in the construction industry with many contacts / friends in sales for other suppliers of these types of product.
2.) 24' lengths / 30" widths / Interlocking
3.) Locally available.
Hey folks, I'll be replacing the plywood on my bunk ends in a few weeks - not rotten, but the fasteners have taken a beating and pulled out of the plywood at several spots on the ends.
It got me to pondering if there were other alternatives available such as corrugated pvc panels or the likes...
My dogs travel crated typically. Though I am toying with building something on to my trailer that is secure / durable. Lot of guys have custom built dog trailers / boxes.
I have a 2002 Bonair Oh!Zone ... 12ft box with dinette slide. Under the dinette seats might be too small. Can't put them...
Hey folks, anyone here do built-in crate modifications to their PUP?
At field trials, many guys have custom built dog trailers with climate controls etc. Not sure how I feel about the dogs traveling in the PUP with outside doors built, but at the very least, I'd like to ditch their crates...
