    Gracefully bowing out...

Well to all who have been here reading this thread it's no secret that I haven't really been around much since starting it. We went to the rally last weekend and had a great time but after being without our pup for almost a year while being fixed due to hail damage my wife has decided that she...

    Central Texas Spring Rally 2017

I'd say everyone just bring what you want to cook, rather than everyone having a list. Not leaving the cooking up to 1 or 2 people, but we all pitch in. Although if it's a men cooking breakfast I can imagine we have quite a bit of bacon and eggs! I've got some wild piggie breakfast links I may...

    Gracefully bowing out...

Man, how did this turn into a nerd-off?[LOL] just picking on you guys, it's actually kind of fun to listen to yall jabber on about it. I grew up with the Internet but was still young enough that the equipment that went along with it was of no importance the me. Best thing I recall as a kid...

    Gracefully bowing out...

Alright well here we go...I've turned off all the crap. Maybe that'll at least help a bit. But hey check it out I got me a new profile picture. Oh and btw, I've discovered I can "ignore" people, just might stick around for that lol

    Gracefully bowing out...

Truth be told, it's not the new look that bothers me, or the navigation. I'm still 32 years young so it's not like the Internet or computers are anything new to me, simply put its the addition of like buttons and the FB style of things. I can't stand the idea of twitter, and to me Facebook...

    Gracefully bowing out...

So with the addition of the new look of the forum here and some of the additions I feel as though the forum is headed in a direction I personally prefer not to go. I'm stubborn, I know, but I dont enjoy the idea behind most social media sites, its just not my thing. Nothing personal to anyone...

    Welcome Back

How so? This is a forum dedicated to people with pop ups helping each other out, not Facebook where people are competing for "likes" and popularity.

    Welcome Back

Yep...there's a reason I'm not on any social media. I think it's silly, personally. Of course that's my opinion. I appreciate the fact that Steve is trying to do things to make the site better and keep up with the times. But for me, I will likely say adios.

    Welcome Back

Oh man I'm checking this new stuff out and I can update my status and I have followers!? It appears I had followers before hand, but this is way too much like FB for me, and there's good reason I'm not on there. I think after this change I may gracefully bow out of the forum indefinitely.

    Welcome Back

I don't like the new thing going on with the forum on my phone. No updates topics, no recent topics. Looks good, but not my thing. I don't like it, just throwing that out there. Maybe this is a mobile version I'm staring at? But I don't see a full version option so I assume not.

    Central Texas Spring Rally 2017

How about Saturday being a men cook the ladies breakfast "in bed" i.e. on the picnic table, and Saturday night potluck, all other meals are DIY?

    Triple-tow with a Jayco Baja.......

By slop, I meant more forward and backwards. While stopping you'll have the added weight of the boat pushing against the pup which MAY put some undue stress on the tongue of the pup due to the obvious slack in a pintle hitch. I could definitely be wrong, but I would think that a ball even a...

    Triple-tow with a Jayco Baja.......

This is complete truth. "Inthedirt" in this community being sparky won't get you anywhere. To get on your level, if you've already made up your mind then go ahead and do it. If you don't want to heed the advice of several people who have towed several things, big and small, with tow vehicles...

    HAIL...We are devastated.

I've seen 3 different rvs go through 4 different dealers. My take on a dealer is if you don't have to do business with them....DONT! Every single one of these places is busy up to their necks with work somehow. They could care less whether they do your work or not, they'll just move to the next...

    HAIL...We are devastated.

We went through the same thing this time last year. Major hail storms in wylie, tx caused us to need a new roof and all new canvas, not to mention minor odds and ends. It took MONTHS, literally, to get it back from the dealer. Actually just picked it up back in january. I think the only thing...

    Triple-tow with a Jayco Baja.......

Rear bumper and frame of the Baja will need significant reinforcement. It's doable though.

I think I might want a HW popup. How are they on dirt roads?

Pros for double axles are much more cargo capacity, a bit steadier ride, better braking I'm sure. The reason we didn't go with a double axle was that floor model did not have access to the fridge while the roof was down (fridge and heater swapped locations vs. next largest model) and that's a...
