Storing when not in use Q

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Obviously it's not something we've got to decide on tomorrow or even this year. I like the idea of the pavers or pressure treated boards. Will probably do something like that this year at least.

Storing when not in use Q

Thanks generok, appreciate your feedback. Us newbies got concerns, it's what we do lol. All of it makes good sense though. We picked up our new rig Thursday and I've got a whole set of questions trumping the surface thing already!

Storing when not in use Q

I also wanted to ask if using a cover even during season is recommended? and on wheel covers, I don't live in an area with really high heat even during the Summer. Would these still be recommended?

Storing when not in use Q

Sorry if this has been covered before, Just wanted to get a sense of recommendation for storing/parking TT when not in use. I'm going to be keeping it on my property. The area where I have designated is mostly dirt right now, some grass but not where the wheels will be. I read that rvs...

Hey all, we did it. New Gulfstream Friendship 21' bh. We sucked it up and went through a dealership. We just weren't finding anything we liked on the used market and wanted to make sure we could get some camping in this season. The local one we used does get pretty good reviews on service...

Thanks I checked those out. The e2 looks good. There were a couple reviews on Amazon concerning the shank being a little skewed and having to be returned. Most reviews were good though.

It really is amazing though how negligent the car dealerships seem to be regarding the towing capacity issue. When I look at Chevy's tow charts on line they post all the big numbers on the table. Then at the bottom of the screen (in the tiniest font available) "Your overall passengers and...

Thanks, yeah that's what I figured. Looks like a good thing all around to relieve stress on tires even if sway wasn't an issue.

Yes and 5,000 would be the max gvr I'd be ok with seeing.

Sticker says 1934. I know everyone says they won't have a lot of stuff and then they do. That aside though, we don't have anything real heavy to bring like motorbikes or atvs or anything like that. I think the heaviest thing we'll have is a cooler, generator down the line. I guess the...

Thanks CamperMike and NeighborMike! and everyone else for your input. Sorry for the late reply. Now that I have the TV I have....you guessed it......MORE QUESTIONS!!![:D] I'm trying to project a rough idea of what my payload will be as well as possible tongue weight which is tough to do as I...

Starting on the dark side - A couple questions.

Well, we ended up getting a new Chevy Silverado 1500 (EcoTec3 V6 w/ the crew cab). Our girls are loving the space in the cab! When we tried to look at the Ranger they sat in that cab and looked at us like "uhm.......!?" lol. I hope it has what it takes for us or we're just going to have to...

Thanks all. Well, we went to a Ford dealership to actually look up close at the Ranger. Even if it could pull comfortably that cab is too small. Far as ability to pull I think I answered my own question by questioning it in the first place right? It was explained that as Ford closed during...

Hi all! Brand new here. I've looked at the site a number of times as I've been researching rvs for a few years now but had to get to a place to be able to buy one. Also due that we also have to get a TV. I've read a lot of threads and discussions on the combination and tow capacity etc to...
