“Birthdays Rally at Wolfcreek” Sept 7-9, 2018

We’re returning to Wolfcreek Park (TRA) on beautiful Lake Livingston in East Texas.
Rally theme is “Birthday Party!” Everybody’s got one! Reservation window is now open and link is www.trinityra.org/Wolf-creekpark.

Lots to do here; fish, swim, bike, putt putt golf, canoe/paddle boat/canoe rental. Some Puppers coming in early and some staying late. If you have a Sept birthday, even better and let us know!

We have eleven reserved so far. Second and third wagonwheels and lakeside yellow. Try to get in those sites to be close together.

Hi Kat,
No check list, but I posted a message to you on the other thread if you will have a look. When we get a little closer we will get a head count and make somewhat of a schedule of meals and activities.

• tye-dye/painted shirts (byo shirts)
• egg carton /cedar fire starters / buddy burners

Do you need us to be collecting yarn, sticks, and egg cartons or are you taking care of it? YAY for tye-dye shirts!!

i am going to cry.
the shop cant/wont fix the bedrails. “they cant find parts”

AND they are charging me $125 for an hour of labor - for looking at it & making phone calls.

i cant go get it till saturday & im back to square one- dead rig.

if i cant get my king bed rails replaced, i cant use my camper.
no sense in doing other repairs.

2003 Skamper 1007xs — kings front bed
rails so badly bent, bed wont move at all.
like “rocking chair rail” bent.

can i still come even if all i have is my tents?

i am gathering up supplies for crafts, but bring anything you have to add to collection.

i will get skinny dowels, but the yarn craft looks cool on twisted twigs. 12 inches or less for small hands.

if everyone likes tye dye- bring your own shirts. (the one that already has a stain) i will get paints & dye kits.
for this, i will need a few styro egg cartons to use for dye, paint.
my store sells in paperboard.

if everyones brings paper egg cartons, the kids can stuff them w shavings, an adult (me) will ladle out the melted wax,
& everyone gets a firestarters when done.
i have a collection of old candles to melt down for this craft!

these 3 are the most popular crafts (and least expensive!) ive done with scouts, & all the borrowed kids in my life.
teens/adults / grands are welcome!

(as a “students w disabilities” rated instructor at the university, pm me if any of your kids need individual accommodations to participate.)

im teaching till 10p this week & next, so i might not have time tocheck in.

Wow Kat, I’m so impressed! I will get my stuff together. We now have about 10 kids of varying ages I think. This will be a good group.

Katskamper,yes you can attend! Bring your tent we can help you set up. I can bring a big light to light up the tent set. Dont forget the tent pegs and tarp for underneath the tent.

So far 5 birthdays, i am planning a three layer cake of different flavors. Will pre-bake cakes and frost and decorate at camp. If anyone has a sparkler we could use one as a candle for all celebrants. Please bring a sparkler if you have one. Thanks, Txbum

Don't know about the weather, but I have a spare window unit AC we could rig up to Shore Power that would make a tent pretty comfortable for sleeping.
