2015 Florida Fall Rally

^^ Well, if it won't be an official rally until there are 3 more, that shouldn't be too hard! Glad, Judy J., to have you as my neighbor. I'm Judy F. If we do get another Judy that would be fun. Never had a themed rally before but that could become one!

We will not be able to make it to Salt Springs that weekend as we already have 6 days booked at that time at Fort Desoto....our favorite campground and only 15 minutes away. But please don't that stop the momentum that this fall rally idea is finally picking up!!! I'd be more than happy to do whatever possible to make this happen.

SHFL do not worry about the backing in, there should be help! At a recent WI rally two of us backed into posts-- real short wooden ones-- supposedly put there to keep us from going into the lake, but in actuality, to absolutely test our PUP plus TV lengths and backing skills combined. Blushing, I was one of the guilty post-punters It was all in good fun and I only made the post tilt, well, a little bit.

[... For those that haven't attended a Florida Rally (we have only attended the one so far), its a great way to meet our felllow PUPpers...Salt Springs sounds nice. And it looks like the sites that are available are all near each other ....We could do the November 6-8 dates if that works for most everyone else. And its only about 2.5 hours from us barring any traffic (depending on Tampa, ugh!) So what say you any of you? ...

It worked and there are four of us so far. Anyone else?

We can't do Nov. 4-6...have Girl Scout camping trip already on the calendar for that weekend. Hope you all have a great time! Hopefully we can make it to the next one

Well looks like my brother is going to join us. He is a VINTAGE SCOTTY camper not a PUP guy. Any objections to him joining in what ever get together we may have during our stay...

Sounds great. The more the merrier. One other hasPM'd me and said they would sign up, so it should be moved shortly to an Official Rally when the reservations are confirmed. Doesn't matter what kind of camper, and Vintage Scotty is certainly welcome, and ours is technically not PUC but a TrailManor spring up!

Anyone who makes a reservation needs to post so we can keep count on who's coming.

Oh, my, I had better finish up that form then and send it on to Popup Steve! I have to ask--- any volunteers for Wagonmaster?

Do you want me to step up and start off the communications since I've got the form almost done?
I have NO ego, remember, and would love for anybody who wants, to be our Wagonmaster. I will abbreviate that as "WM".

Otherwise, I will submit the form tonight or in the morning with me as "WM" actually to just have a contact person to start off. It can be changed at any time. \
I am on the computer nearly 7 days a week for my job, anyway. No big deal to monitor here too.
If ANYBODY has experience with FL rallies and how you like them run, step right up, or say any preferences for games/ prizes/ raffles whatever!
I will need from each reserved participant:
Number in your party (people). Number of pets/ animals in your party.
Campsite number and dates reserved.

And interest in a potluck for Saturday! Oh, I hope little windblown Danny does not hit Central FL now for sure! He is up to Cat 2.

We will be arriving Wed., 11/4, and leaving Sun., 11/8. For Site #35 - GA Judy: 2 (Judy & Al), 0 pets - can bring 5' folding and 3' round tables for potluck, etc. Large outdoor Jenga game, too.

We always love the Saturday night Potlucks and would participate in that and can have the Meet & Greet at our site (#35) on Friday evening with some tidbits. BYODs.

We have a Washer Toss game and I may end up making a new set of Corn Hole Boards before the trip. I need to make a few for some people that have asked for them already.

Anyone else taking the Fort Gates Ferry over by chance?

Tables, and games, and all that oh THANK YOU for thinking of such details.
I can take care of paper products for the potluck. Plates, cups, utensils and either paper towels or napkins.

I am still here, but got WHACKED by two yellowjackets yesterday (Sat) in a MN state park and ended up in ER with a reaction yessiree! No fun. I am homesick for good old safe FL where all we have to worry about is fire ants, gators, chiggers-- hmm, no place is perfect. You can COUNT on me for the first aid kit, now too, and at one point I was Level One first aid trained for girl scouts (currently expired). Important point is to keep on having fun outdoors, huh?
