Never had a chance to camp at Pine Lake. Definitely cool enough to camp in June. Plenty to see within a 2 hours drive.

Pine Lake does sound like it's a viable site. I think our friends camped there a couple of years back, but forgot to ask about it when we talked the other day.

As near as I can tell, either of those weekends is pretty much the same for us. If we went for the earlier weekend, Nancy and I could plan on hitting Palisade State Park the weekend before to visit family in Manti. The Mormon Miracle Pageant in Manti runs for both of those weekends, so NOT a good time to try and make the sidetrip up to see Mom.

So, shall we call it June 16 - 18?

I have a reservation, site 20.
This campground seems to be all back-in sites. I have challenged myself to learn to back the Retro into campsites this year. I managed to back it - at dusk, in rain and fog - into the "most difficult" (quote from the camp host) on my first trip, but that was 2-1/2 years ago, with a different TV.

I actually broke off trying and made another circuit a couple of times at one campsite with our first popup; I got it into place on the third attempt. We'd used the same site before with tents, but I hadn't realized the extent of the combined up-slope and angle. (not to mention the drop-off on one side, I didn't want the pup rolling sideways down hill!).

Our friends said Pine Lake is the campground they stayed in a few years back. They said that, at that time, it didn't look to be heavily used. Should be interesting to see if that's changed when we're there for the Quad-State Rally.

It seems it is meant to cater to a OHV crowd being there is the overflow parking and there r 30 ft back in sites.
But then again, who wants a crowded CG?

That seemed to be the dates agreed upon. I am the only one who has actually posted about reservations having been made. It would be great to get a few folks there.
