That seemed to be the dates agreed upon. I am the only one who has actually posted about reservations having been made. It would be great to get a few folks there.

I am kind of sort of planning a 6 week camping road trip, that may or may not get me to that area then... I want to go coast to coast, then up to MN and back to CA...

That CG has FCFS spots also, and there were only about 10 sites that were open for reservations as of yesterday. I wont have my plans figured out until March or April, by then most spots will be taken, so we will see...

Is there an official thread for this Rally, that has the specific dates, address/location, and general information? There are many posts, most have links to 'this one' or 'here is the main thread' and links back to another... Very confusing and could keep people away.

Sounds like you're planning a fun trip.

Guessing how far in advance some campgrounds fill is even more of a guessing game these days than it has been. National Parks have filled pretty far in advance for a long time, but it seems like a good portion of USFS, SPs, and the like are filling earlier these days. When our friends camped at Pine Lake a few years ago, they did FCFS, and said some of the sites were pretty overgrown, so they assumed it didn't get much use. If this Quad-State Rally happens, it will be interesting to see how used the CG really is.

Last year, for the Colorado Rally, people couldn't get reserved sites 3 or 4 months in advance. We'll see how this year's goes; again, I think we're the only ones with reservations so far. The last time we were at Vallecito (July '14) there were sites that were very overgrown

He will be, if we make it, I didn't know if others knew the holiday prior to committing, vs them backing out for family plans!

Being that Quad-State covers 3 regions that rotate, we need to have a way to direct some one SW or Central or Western. Otherwise they would need to do the hunting themselves which probably they would not do.

Is there a thread that has the dates, location, details, general info?

If there is I have not seen it. If the main thread was in the region where the rally will take place, then child threads in the other regions of participation. Each region would have a scout and the scout would report to the Wagon Master overall. I would be willing to be a Scout for the Western Region. So I would manage the Western region, post a link to the main/parent thread.

Of the three who have intentions of going, this was the weekend agreed upon.

An official thread for this year's Quad-State hasn't been started. One of the on-going issues with Rallies is that states had to go somewhere when regions were assigned, and remembering which region states at the edges ended up in is difficult.
Since the rotating "upcoming rallies" display has not been filled this year, I've been tempted to start a thread in the general section, in hopes of reaching more folks. Maybe I'll do that, for the Rallies I plan to attend, and others can add to it.

My suggestion is to have the official thread in the rally region of the CG chosen. The WM will keep that updated.

Scouts from other regions will maintain a thread in their respective regions with a link to the official thread...

I will volunteer to be a Scout for the Western (CA) region... If this seems a good option.

What we were doing during PopUpSteve's recovery, was use shared Google docs.
WM were able to edit (Master Rally list & their specific Rally) and participants had Read Only (except for Potluck).
Participants PM their emails to the WM, who includes them in the G Docs.

The Quad-State Rally is just over three months away, so I thought I'd check in on this. For the weekend of the Rally itself, June 16-18, it looks like there are 5 reservable sites left. There are also close to a dozen FCFS sites.
Here's the link to Pine Lake CG (Utah) on the reservation site: https://www.recreation.gov/camping/pine-lake-campground/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&parkId=70103

There are some other campgrounds in the vicinity and, my campsite is certainly long enough to provide parking for an extra vehicle or two if you want to camp elsewhere and visit the Rally.

I get to practice that at the AZ Spring Rally :)

This is one of our favorite areas in Utah, and we haven't been there in a couple of years.

@ChockoChocko1- I'm sure you do. I can't imagine your loss, but am so glad that you're getting out to places she'd enjoy.
