A bad day camping beats a good day at the office
Smoke aside, that's a hella lot of storage totes, and close to the fire.

I've always considered campfires to be an "evening/after dark" thing but from what I gather here, most people are in bed before dark lol.

My campfire starts 10 minutes after I get up and normally gets put out at bedtime, usually it's a 18-20 hour long fire. Ask Steve, he witnessed it a few years ago.

You must have a big wood budget lol. At $5-10 a bundle (and it's illegal to bring your own wood in here) it generally costs me as much or more for firewood as the campsite the way it is lol.

I like a fire when i first get up in the morning and start one right before dark and many of beer munchies are cooked over the evening fire.
As to previous comment....Yes the campsites now are usually quiet in my areas 10-11 PM...I see very few after that.
Growing up the whole campground was lit up with fires way past midnight.
But back then campers didnt have televisions...fireplaces and gaming wasn't a thing and cell phones weren't around.
I miss the old days.

I don’t know anymore, @firepit, I am pretty dang proud of myself if I make it to 10:00 anymore! I love LOVE a quiet night by the fire, but I also really enjoy the early morning coffee while listening to the woods (and campground 😕) come alive… I am finding I can’t do both anymore lol

As a night owl, I'm always shocked how dead it is by 9pm much less 10pm. We're typically up until midnight, sometimes a little later.

I don't know if it has to do with so many people camping with little kids? And they just go to bed at the kid's bedtime? When we had little kids we tent camped, and we let them stay up later than normal. But when we did put them down, we got them tucked under and then still hung out by the fire, having "adult time".

I just turned 53 and have seen no signs of my "night owl" tendencies going away lol.
