Baby bison killed after man "intentionally disturbed" the newborn calf at Yellowstone National Park
Law enforcement at the park have opened an investigation into the incident.

Now that everyone has a video camera we see one per day. So busy here already.Just saw another one where a tourist tried to pet a bison that had come up to the boardwalk.

Unfortunately they couldn’t reunite it with the herd and it was wandering in the road and approaching people. Not yet weaned so the rangers had to make a difficult decision. Tough life , only about 30% reach adulthoodThe park staff killed the bison. Seems like a bit of an overreaction to me, but...

He had no idea if it was unable to reunite with the herd. They had crossed the river Often they take a while to get the nerve to jump in. This one never got the chance to try. He pulled it from the waterI think it's a stretch to say the "knucklehead" caused its death though, since he took control BECAUSE it was separated from the herd...
Again, not defending his actions in general.
