Urban bambi lovers don't have a clue. Nature isn't kind nor cruel. The calf wasn't strong enough to keep up with the herd.

If I've said it once, I've said it a million times, before entering Yellowstone, all visitors should have to take an orientation class and pass a written exam. This knucklehead should be fined $10,000 for what he did and banned from all National parks for 10 years.

Unfortunately they couldn’t reunite it with the herd and it was wandering in the road and approaching people. Not yet weaned so the rangers had to make a difficult decision. Tough life , only about 30% reach adulthood

I think it's a stretch to say the "knucklehead" caused its death though, since he took control BECAUSE it was separated from the herd...

Again, not defending his actions in general.

He had no idea if it was unable to reunite with the herd. They had crossed the river Often they take a while to get the nerve to jump in. This one never got the chance to try. He pulled it from the water
