There are still rallies, it just takes someone to organize t hem and the ability to find a suitable location.
We did one in Colorado a few times. I organized the last couple, and trying to find a campground that was located well for as many as possible was hard, and that was just about the time that getting reservations , except when the reservation window opened 6 months in advance, was almost impossible. No one else stepped forward to organize them after that.

Some have well established rally’s usually at the same location and same dates so they plan ahead accordingly, however I like to move around a bit , so we usually vote on a location and date. That works best for the main core, Some may drive further one rally but shorter the next, And it gives some new comers who may have a interest or close proximity in that certain area to possibly join us. Organize one in your area. And see if there’s a interest

We have 2 rallys i our area, usyally one i the summer and one in the fall. Next years I might be certifiably insane. Im hosting one in May (camping kick off rally) and than one again in the fall (end of season :lipsrsealed:) rally. It takes just a little bit of time to plan and organize a rally. Nothing stopping anyone from hosting. Pick a date or vote on one and a location promote it and most importantly have fun. Size does not matter in the rally world, host and have fun!!

Unfortunately the VA rally no longer has a wagon master as the turn outs were very small and The master didn’t think it was worth the trouble. I’ve been sometimes attending the one held in Maryland. Not sure what the status is this year for it.

My family has gone 2 times to rallies. But there are not many for popups in the PNW. We live around Vancouver wa. Last one we went to was Iron creek around Mt Rainer. But as I've watch the forum, no one has taken helm or mentioned a rally around here anymore. Would still do it but 3 kids wife family. Driving across country is a bit far. NorCal, just about anywhere in Oregon or Washington were game.

Was wondering if the Covid bug killed the rally and they won’t return or will they slowly come back?
Covid never effected this one....

Come on down...

I don't know if I'm allowed to say this, but if you're on Facebook I belong to a group Pacific North west (PNW) camping group and we have a rally planned in May in Garibaldi. Come check it out.
