We haven't had any rallies here in Arizona or the Quad State group for a couple of years. I need to get our P'up road-ready again (blew out a tire on the last trip I took, which destroyed the fender well on the trailer in the process), but we're itching to get out with it again, particularly after a couple of months of social distancing.

At this point, an early autumn timeframe would likely be best, to allow for planning, and far enough out to make reservations at a suitable venue (not to mention, hopefully getting past many of the quarantine restrictions still in effect).

I'll look over some possible locations over the next few days, find one that has enough sites available on a reasonable weekend, and book our spot. Once I have, I'll post the information here, and if enough folks are interested in joining us, we'll make it an official rally.

Alas, between the pandemic, and needing to do repairs to the old P'up, we never got her out at all last year. This year, we're going to the Dark Side, but if there's interest, we can plan a rally for 2021. It'd be nice to get together with Portal folks again.

Amusingly, we're going from the P'up to a Pup. Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pup trailer. Dang, but it's got a bunch of nice features.

Sounds fun... While planning my camping trips for 2021, most campsites are gone. I am hoping with the kids going back to in school classes, next fall will open up. Best to start making reservations ASAP.

Congrats on your new trailer. You’re going to love the Darkside.

Happy Camping...[put&hy]

Congrats Hoomi, on the new TT.
I might attend a Rally if it fits into our already-pretty-full camping schedule. We've long done our camping plans and reservations at least 6 months in advance, because so many things fill up once the reservation window opens. (We also plan so we use Courtenay's vacation time to the max.)

I should start poking at the Arizona State Park website some more, and see when we can get into a few of the parks. We're slowly working on logging a visit to every one, with a camping stay at each one that has camping.

Looking at the Arizona State Parks website, it looks like there are a number of sites available the weekend of October 29th - 31st at Buckskin Mountain State Park, on the Colorado River. Anyone interested in a Hallowe'en weekend Rally on the Colorado? The area tends to be ungodly hot during the summer, but should be nice in early autumn.
