Considering a trip to Hot Springs NP in Arkansa sand debating between Daisy SP or one of the NPS campgrounds like Gulpha Gorge. We don't want to be surrounded by big rigs and generators, but DW does need a nice bath house. Will of course appreciate other recommendations you might have too. Never been to Arkansas, so help make this a good experience please.

Daisy SP is about an hour from Hot Springs, but it is close the the Crater of Diamonds SP, so if you have time you can hunt for diamonds as well as visiting Hot Springs. Gulpha Gorge at Hot Springs NP is usually full of big rigs, but no generators. You may also check out, as @Mtlangst suggested, Lake Ouachita (wash-it-awe) SP or Lake Catherine SP, both closer to Hot Springs. There are also numerous ACOE campgrounds on Lake Ouachita and DeGray Lake ( we like Caddo Drive campground) which are relatively close to Hot Springs. Besides the national park, thermal baths and hiking on the local mountains, we have a horse race track/casino at Oaklawn Park and Magic Springs/Crystal Falls theme park/water park combination.
edited to add: Also check out DeGray Lake SP which has not only campgrounds, but a nice 90 room lodge and a championship 18 hole golf course.

If you like BBQ, be sure to check out McClard's and Stubby's. Both have excellent smoked meats and sauces that are different from the other.

We stayed at Daisy SP a few years ago it it was nice and plan on staying there again on our cross country trip in a couple of months in our new to us TrailManor 2619 .
We also " Watched " the folks digging at The Crater of Diamonds SP , but didn't dig there ourselves .
There are also mines near Mt. Ida , Known as the Quarts Crystal Capitol of the US.
Plus there is also the FREE to dig Crystal Vista Mine located in the Ouachita National Forest on the top of Gardner Mountain .
We also visited The Hot Springs NP and had lunch near the Mountain Tower with great views .
