Just wanted to give a shout out to the folks at Bear Creek Canvas.

I am picking up my canvas directly from them in a few weeks on my way to a dog field trial in Wisconsin. So far, it has been one of the best buying experiences that I've ever had to date.

1. Unlike their competitors, they don't take your money until a few weeks prior to production.

2. Their staff are extremely helpful, friendly and communicate efficiently.

3. The owner, Al, is one of the single nicest, most friendly, and helpful people that I've ever dealt with. Extremely hands-on and 100% about helping his customers.

I highly recommend Bear Creek Canvas based on my experience so far.

We also found their customer service to be excellent, and their product highest quality. There were a couple of issues though.
- ours came with a puncture hole in the window plastic. Just the window plastic and not the screen or canvas that are on either side of it. Looked like someone had to have installed it with the hole in it - not impressive. Luckily we had Tear Aid Type B on hand to fix it with and haven't had any issues.
- No choice in vinyl color, it's all white. Looks great, and during the day it's nice to have the extra light inside, but at night, if you are camped near any bright lights, the inside is lit up brightly because the white doesn't block any light. We purchased silver emergency blankets to cover the bunk end roof where we sleep which solves this problem.
- The bunk end side windows no longer open all the way - this to me is the biggest issue because there's nothing we can do about it and I hate it. The zippers for the canvas flaps only go around one corner now, so 2 sides, whereas our original canvas they opened around 2 corners, so on 3 sides, all the way. I called to ask about this and they told me they do all their product this way because it avoids leaks. Well I would have liked to have the choice here because we never had any leaks before and I really do NOT like having 1/3 of all 4 of those windows covered with the canvas flap when they are opened up all the way. One of the main things I have always loved about having a pop up is that you can open the whole thing right up all the way around and enjoy the air and nature that way, and this feature intrudes on that.
