So on a recent trip we noticed my support has gotten a bit bent. I have purchased some 3/4 emt with the intention of replacing them but I am curious if anyone has done this and what they used to crimp and bend to duplicate the originals.
If you do decide to bend it back instead of replacing, be very careful. Perhaps do the "fill it with sand" trick. I think that help spread the stress out more.
You can flatten the ends out in a vice. To put the band in I was use the intended tool: a 3/4" EMT bender. I would consider bringing a bed support that's still in good shape to a local electrical company and have them match the bend. They may do it for free, or a small charge. If you know of any Electrician friends ask them if they'll help. I'd bend them for you if you brought them to me, but chances are we're miles apart
