Bunkend Condensation

Is there a secret to reducing condensation on the bunkend ceilings? I know to increase air circulation and use a fan. But I've had it open in the yard for several weeks (doing work and getting ready for our next trip). I leave as many windows cracked as I can, and when I know there's no threat of rain, I leave them open completely. The condensation drips so much I've had to take the mattresses out and wipe down the covers (thank goodness I put plastic protectors on them!). I'm not looking forward to getting dripped on in the wee hours of the morning in a few weeks. [SNZ] [:(O]

Any help is appreciated! [:D]

Given that much dripping, are you sure it is just condensation? If it has been raining, could it be seeping through the fabric and/or seams. What have the weather conditions been? Rain, large temperature swings?

With both of our pups, when camping , we had much reduced condensation using PUGS on the bunk ends, and keeping the air circulation going.

We're in lower NYS (Hudson Valley) so it does get humid, but that's why I've left the windows open. Temps have been 60's at night and 80's during the day over the past couple weeks. It's definitely not rain dripping. On our first adventure in it, it monsooned and we never felt a drop. It's also been extremely dry here lately, and the humidity hasn't been bad...but it still drips. I've waterproofed the canvas, and will do so again, but the bunkend ceilings are vinyl on the outside.

What are PUGS???

That is a lot of moisture.

It's a far shot. But check to make sure your water system isn't leaking and if you have an A/C unit, it's actually draining out and away, and not through your roof.

Spray the interior of the canvas with Iosso warerproofer. It will reduce or eliminate it if its a condensation issue. Worked great for us.
