Campground location is not good, I can't find it on the map and have to call the camp office, there is no sign when you drive on hwy73... Better take 380 and then 16.

Sites are no shade at all. Site is level and clean. Restroom is average. This campground is huge, I didn't book the site and they let me pick up whatever I want. But most site are the same.

Park office closed at 10pm. After that, no one care about what happened there. There are couple site have a party start right at 10PM (yes, right at 10PM, turn car head light and music on....). We have to go and ask them to be quiet since no one at park office and no park police...

I will score 6 out of 10.

Thanks for the review, and sorry your state park experience in Ohio wasn't at one of the better parks. We weren't impressed with Caesars Creek either....but went to nearby Cowan Lake a few weeks ago and loved it! If you're in Ohio again, there are wonderful, beautiful parks from which to choose, and many reviews here on the forum.

:D No problem. I enjoyed all the campsite so far. It just a honest review for echo one on the road. The bad part is not the site itself. It was some of ppl didn't follow the rule and it happened everywhere.

My husband and I camp at Caesars Creek a lot in our pup. The loops are nice and the sites are roomy. Lots of nearby hiking and a beautiful Nearby lake. The mountain bike trails are not kept well, tho.

My wife and I camped at Caesar's Creek this past weekend for our maiden voyage in our PUP. We tent camped there a couple of years ago. This time we were on F loop. The restrooms/showers close to us were closed for remodeling, the next closest needs some remodeling. Our site (255) was decent, clean and flat. There were a lot of people there, but it wasn't full. Everyone else was pretty quiet, we were the loud ones (4 kids, we tried to keep them from being too crazy). There was a decent hiking trail right around the campground. The playground needs a complete overhaul. Overall, it wasn't great but it wasn't terrible. I can't say that I'm especially looking forward to going back, but it was nice for a first time out.

Cowan lake is just around 15 or 20 minutes further than ceasers creek I grew up in wilmington and there used to be signs but who knows and wilmington is a college town so i would think partying would be a issue but hey its camping and you will always have that loud bunch but the overall area is great..

Not to doubt this fine member and his contribution, but its been a few years since anyone updated here. We stayed in October of 2022 and went to the nearby SauerKraut Festival in Waynesville. We were at site 119 in the D loop I think. The map had the spot next to us a camp host, but it actually was a nice new heated bath/shower house. FireR here did mention having a hard time finding it. The GPS in our Ford took us close enough to find it, but google maps took us right to the check in station.

We can see a lot of improvements in the place that have been done in covid years. We did have electric and saw a few new spots with water and even full hook up with more coming. We had a great time and found it comparable to other OSP camping spots.
