We stayed at Cedars of Lebanon state park over the Labor day weekend arriving on Saturday and leaving Tuesday morning. The was a our first trip in our N2U popup. Our only other camping trip was to Piney campground in Land between the Lakes, so that is all I have to compare Cedars too. The directions and signage were very easy to follow and we had no trouble finding our site. Site 53 is most of the way up on a hill and right at the start of a curve, it was a little tight backing in, but had no trouble. We had water and 30 amp electrical hookups both of which worked flawlessly. There are no real views as you are surrounded by woods, but the plus side to that is that there are plenty of places to hang a hammock and it was nice a shady. The campground was completely packed and the place was noisy on Saturday night but everything went silent at quite time. Almost everyone left Sunday morning leaving the place almost deserted for Sunday and by Monday there were only 5 other people left on our loop so we pretty much had the place to ourselves.
We are in the process of trying out all the state parks in our area so we will probably not be back to Cedars anytime soon, but it was a nice place to visit. Other than the showers I would recommend it.
Pluses:
Easy to find and navigate
Water and electrical hookups
Nice pool
Staff was very friendly and helpful
Plenty of stuff to do
Dump station is easy to get to and clean
Minuses:
The bath houses were pretty run down. The toilets were clean, but you could not have paid me to take a shower in that place. The showers were also in the same room as the toilets which I did not like. At Piney, mentioned above, the showers were separate from the bathroom which was nice.
