Spent 3 nights/4 days at this spot with the full crew. Wife, 5 year old, 3 year old and 9 month old baby.

Nice campground with a variety of sites from full hookups to unserviced. Lots of sites in treed areas, nice for this area as it can get hot during the day. Other, newer sites are in open fields. Has 2 playgrounds which helped keep the kids busy. Also has a heated pool, nice on those hot days. Sites were clean, level, had a fire pit and picnic table. The campground backs onto the Red Deer River which is a nice slow moving river. There's very clean toilets, showers and a general store. Staff were helpful and friendly. They even will deliver ice and wood to your site.

It's part of a larger organization, Holiday Trails RV Resorts. I didn't ask about joining and the staff weren't pushy at all about signing up.

Overall a very nice campground close to Drunheller, AB. Lots of dinosaur themed attractions in the area which our kids loved. From animatronic dinosaurs to the Royal Tyrell Museum there's so much to do and see. The town has a free water park right by the big T-Rex.

I recommend Hood RV Resort, it's also a private campground, we camped there every first May longweekend and everytime we have guests and visitors just because it's accessible and close to the hoodoos, 11 bridges, hanging bridge, Atlas coal mine, Dorothy ghost town and best of all it's 10 minutes away from Drumheller. I forgot to mention every end of August (sometime August 30-Sept 1) they have Wayne Stock, it's a music festival at the famous Last Chance Saloon, check it out :) upload_2019-8-11_11-9-39.png

Ended up at River Grove CG.....nicely treed BUT small sites and everyone was right on top of one another.
Will try Dino Trail the next time.
