Already the second month of the New Year! Here's your battery charge reminder, for those needing it.

Too early in the day for me to have done much of anything, it's just getting light. I did do a spot check for campsites for late April at Grand Canyon, but looks like I'm still out of luck, just tent-only ones. I don't look much, but if I find a cancellation I can use, I will make reservations. This is one of those "if I can find a reservation" trips, not a major one for us - we have the reservation date on the calendar for those.

To date only made three Reservations for camping trips, for April, May, and June trips. I want to visit family in FL for March but still need to figure logistics out looks like flying will be a tad cheaper assuming I can sleep on my relatives floor or something. Does sleeping on a floor in a house count as camping? 😉

Maybe it counts. I/we slept on the floor for years while visiting family and friends, using our tent camping Therm-a-rest mattresses and sleeping bags, so it might count. I'm very tempted to take my Therm-a-rest later this month when a friend and I go to Tucson, since we'll be staying in one of the KOA cabins. When we went last time, my back hated the soft bed.

Waiting on Amazon to deliver my new emergency breakaway cable. My current cable is a PIA.

I'm looking forward to untangling the old cable from my chains. The new cable should make it a lot easier to hook up and go rather than constantly trying to figure out how much cable slack I need or worrying about the excess cable popping loose and dragging on the ground.
We bought that breakaway cable the first time with our last popup. We had two cables fray and break, no problems since we bought the Fastaway Zip cable. It was one of the first things we purchased for the travel trailer when we bought it.

We made 3 reservations at the nearby state parks. Bought a 12v Lithium battery from Li Time. It is supposed to last 10 years. But not sure what to use for a battery tender or a charger. A new toy for me.

We justified a drive in the country today with going to check on our camper. We hadn't laid eyes on it since putting it up for the winter back in October. Fortunately, it was just as we left it. We returned some of the stuff we brought home after that last trip, stopped to have a sandwich, looked around at the state park and got home in time to throw some burgers on the grill before it got dark.

Bunch of additional weather stripping on the connection points of the hard dormers on the A Liner. Definitely not winter-ready as it came from the factory!

Moved it four times this past week and a half. Storage place I have been at since 2014 gave me 7 days notice to vacate. They got shut down by the state. I don't think they had the proper zoning or filed to operate the business, plus they were expanding the lot by grading without a permit, dirt running into a nearby creek. Dumb a$$ move by them.
So I move it temporarily to my driveway (HOA non no) and struggle to find another storage lot nearby that isn't full or cost an arm and an egg. Finally get a spot reserved and the spot I'm in is 9' wide trailer is 8' wide and either side of me both trailers are on the line but not over it. I squeeze it in with the help of my DW watching my blind spot. Next day they are open I leave a message asking for another spot that is wider. (There are plenty in the area not all are as tight as mine) Finally got another spot and moved it today, I can actually open the door now.

I need to move where I can store it on my own property. House search begins next week.

Made a couple of reservations, does that count? Popup baby is under a thick layer of snow in the back yard. Hibernating I guess.

We bought a solar setup to install as soon as we can get to the pup.
Making plans and reservations counts as part of camping in our book. I have an alarm already set on my phone for reservations we need to make this coming weekend.
