My wife and I recently bought a 2000 Viking 1706. We outfitted it and our 2017 Toyota Sienna with all the goodies we thought we needed and booked our first campsite. My mother-in-law and my wife’s grandparents booked the adjacent sites. We spent the weekend at Big Hart Campground in Thomson, Georgia. It was amazing. The campsites were huge and spaced far enough apart that you didn’t feel like you were on top of one another. There was a bathhouse that was old, but clean and well-maintained. The kids loved the playground. It was a wonderful weekend on the lake with the family. We’ve already booked another trip to Tugaloo State Park in November!

Looks like a nice campground.
But when you google it, try to find it, you're directed to a dusty crossroads.

Where is it?
It is ~4 miles north of I-20 in Thomson, GA. Since the Google satellite photo was taken, they have finished the four lane. Coming from the interstate, you turn right onto Russell’s Landing Rd. and go until you turn right at the campground sign. That’s right before you get to the boat ramp. Also, Google has the phone number wrong. Go directly t on the campground website to find the correct number.
