Just laughed these off, but seeing everyone has their unique experiences, though would share mine from our first long trip...
Driving out and stopped for gas/lunch, after filling up the TV, pulled in behind a 5th wheel, older couple gets out he starts pointing out all the cool features they have that we don't...like their own bathroom and less setup time, etc. I just smiled and nodded...
Then on our trip back we stopped at a mid-point KOA and had another older gentlemen come up to me and start yelling at me how green hoses were full of toxins and I was poisoning my family, had the kids kinda scared even. Wouldn't let it go until the camp ground manager showed up and told him to bugger off. Now at this point I was unaware of the toxins in green hoses...though after doing some research I found no study of how much was actually leached into the water, just that the hoses contain these elements. So how much of it is a real risk versus public panic and paranoia.
Needless to say we swapped out the hose with a white one we already had, but talk about a tactless way to "educate" someone.
