Last month, my wife & daughter & I were camping at Devil's Lake here in WI. We were tearing down on Sunday afternoon. My wife & daughter were outside taking down the awning, while I was doing some stuff inside the pup. I was having some trouble unlatching the top of the door from the sidewall. Finally, I just gave it a yank. The door came loose, and the entire roof of the PUP dropped about 18", squarely hitting me on the head & knocking me to the floor. Turns out that they had been cranking the lift, and when they noticed that the roof wasn't going down, they just quit & went on to working on the awning. We had a little talk, and now everybody knows what to do & what NOT to do.
That is very, very scary! You need to get some roof supports, at least two for opposite corners, to keep on while you're popped up. Glad everyone knows what to do now. You are lucky to not have a brain injury or be dead.
