Love the concept. My PUGS are getting worn so looking for a replacement. I went to their site and a cover that would fit my coleman king bed is around $140 USD...for one. I would probably only use it in the winter as i really like my side windows. I'm curious how much light and sound dampening you really get.

I hope Steve can get a sample and test it out for us.

That looks like a promising product. i like how it clips on to each other vrs use bungies. You could always roll the back flap up during the day if it’s nice to get air. If you get it, please put a review up on here. It’s the shipping cost accross the border that worries me The most for me.

I've been in contact with Paul from Gekko Popout Covers and he was kind enough to send me a set of covers for an evaluation. I should have them by early next week, just in time for what could be my last outing of 2022 (depending on the weather Thanksgiving weekend). The forecast for that weekend is only to get down into the mid 30s, so not too chilly, but I'll get out in January and February for a better test.

So we took the new Gekkos out for some chilly nights in the Sierras. The covers did their job as we saw a 8 degree difference in the covered bunk ends compared to the slide out that was not covered. The temp at night dropped to high 20’s and we felt comfortable in the bunk ends while at the table area you could feel the difference. During the day you could feel the heat trapped under the covers so I feel the reflective side will work great in heat as well. We need to figure out the connection of the material under the roof area as the two clips they provide did not hold the covers up- we used some clips we use to use with other covers and that worked fine- we will add some Velcro to the ends and that will hold them- we did like the straps that wrap under the bunks as they were easily adjustable on either side. We will order another one to fit over the slide but we will need to figure out how to fasten as the straps will not adjust that wide- we think we can just use Velcro. The fit is not perfect as these are designed at an angle coming down from the roof but cover almost all of the bunk ends. These definitely need two people to put on but with the added Velcro one person could do it.
My wife just mentioned she liked how the covers wrapped under the bunks which cut down on the cold air coming in from under the bunk sides and she said they were easy and light to pack away. Overall we were very happy with the covers and look forward to using on our 18 day trip to Texas in March.

They look like a nice product. My hunch is these are designed by folks who actually use a pup

Kind of curious, would you be able to keep them on while folding or is it too bulky? Think I already know the answer to that though.

Their website is out of commission this morning. I hope they're still in business. I wanted to order a set for my christmas gift to the pup.

From Paul
Lloyd.

That's great to hear that the covers worked well and kept you comfortable in the cold weather.

Our site will be down for another day or 2 but we are still taking orders through email ([email protected]), if you can give them this information that would be much appreciated.

Cheers -
