Drove through campground after gettin park permit...took a few pics but didnt wanna be nosey....seen 2 small 2 or 3 person tents...not canvas...just normal tents with wood burning stoves.
The pipes stuck out the front and smoke was coming out the stacks.
The campers were outside so i didnt get a pic...looked dangerous being the tents were viynl/nylon.
It appeared the stoves were just inside it entrance and stacks had a elbow and went straight up just outside the entrance.
Looked like gettin in and out of tent would be tricky.
Never seen that set up before.
Wish i coulda got pics.
I did take a few while there...24 degrees and maybe 5 campers total.

Not a set up I'd endorse, but I guess they'll keep doing it until it's up in smoke time...50 here today & breezy, mid 75's later this week...

They’re known as hot tents. I got one for myself a couple months ago and built the stove out of a surplus ammo box. Gets super warm inside really fast. I hope to take it backpacking next winter. They have a fireproof stove jack where the flue exits and most don’t have a floor in case coals drop. The most common style are tipis but there are a few different varieties.

Compared to the pup the biggest downside is no windows. Once inside it’s nice and cozy but you’re completely cut off from the world.

Took Sam for a walk at campground again.
They put in water hook ups and sewer on six sights and those six were all occupied already.
All local campers.
They put six canvas tents on wooden platforms as well near the river.
none were occupied so i snapped a pic.
They are all the same.
We have all six water and sewer sites reserved for annual family camping trip in June.
Personally i dont like the sites but i was out voted.
Too close to the road and not enough shade.
Since they will have
unlimited water somebody better well offer us their shower...lol.
