Hello from Northern Ontario (Canada)

Hi everyone. Long story short. Been tent camping with the family for a few years now and this year we decided to buy a tent trailer and explore our neck of the woods.
we purchased a used 2008 real-lite 1003 Palomino tent trailer. I have little trouble closing it. the telescoping lifter arms are grabbing the edge of the roof on the way down and now the tin sheet is curled up and stopping the arms from fully closing. I think I'm at the right forum. I cant find nothing on the internet for that problem, hoping someone here can point me to the right forum for me to be able to fix it.

Pictures are worth a thousand words..
All 4 post are in the same shape. I think what happend is my driveway is not leveled and when i tried to bring it down, the post grabbed the edge of the roof wall. I now leveled my camper. Next is i need to figure out how to remove those tin fold that is stopping the telescoping arms to fully close but i dont know how to remive those arms out of the way. Any one here ever did that? I probably need to brace it some how first but with the spring pushing up the arms, will it go down for me to have room to work?

I would look at the top of the middle section of post.. those are probably flared outwards causing then to grab the roof sideboard.

I would also look at the area where the posts go into the wall.. Are your lift posts the rectangle style or square style? Palomino (Gushen) use to use square lift posts only. Worked good on 6ft and 8ft roofs but had issues on 10ft and 12 ft roofs (like my Palomino had).
