Agreed, it actually started with my son wanting to clean up a local creek and watching YT. All trash removed is thrown away properly and almost all metal is scrapped.Personally I’ve never heard of magnet fishing except for raycfe’s case where you need to fish for a wayward bolt. I remember reading a sign once near a lake that said no magnet fishing but never understood until just now. Thanks, Google. Personally I say If it is something you enjoy doing go for it so long as it’s allowed in the area you are visiting And you clean up after yourself and that includes cleaning up anything you find.
I'm a kayaker myself so every so often I help with river cleanup. The amount of trash found on our local water ways can be quite disgusting. So good for you and your son for doing your part.We have found deep cycle batteries, Volkswagen keys, road barricades, and more hooks and hardware than we can count. I enjoy cleaning up the environment.
Some of that stuff has to be fake, but I would love to find a safe or firearm at some point.Never have, but may try it; crazy some of the stuff they find on YT...
I would recommend to grab a cheap magnet off Amazon before you spend the big money on a 360 degree magnet like I have.I confess I've toyed with giving it a try.
It all depends... but yes.So does the magnet get snagged and become unrecoverable?
Seems to me I saw a video where someone put some sort of cone over the loop of the magnet that the rope ran through to help prevent snags.I
It all depends... but yes.
I've lost 3 magnets but now I'm much more careful with it.
I appreciate that. That was the 4th time in the general location at that park, but only the first we walked through the water. There will be a ton more when we make it through more of the park. I figure we have about 1500 more yards of waterway to walk through before we are done.Love your video and amazing how much was In your waterways. Well done you two Cleaning things up.
