I am working on replacing my converter in my 2002 Cheyenne Coleman pop up. I am removing a centurion 3000 and putting in a progressive dynamics PD4100 series power control center. My previous converter has a single breaker with a 20amp and 15 amp combo. So when i bought circuit breakers for the new one i got single 20amp, and two single 15 amp breakers to fit it. Now i am questioning if i should be putting a 30amp breaker in. It would be the one i am booking g the Shore Power into.

The 30 amp breaker is the main breaker. It is wired backwards to that it feeds the other breakers. You need 20 for your a/c and 15s for the other circuits. Usually the 12 volt side is fed a breaker also.

Thank you for the response, but i don’t understand what you are saying. The first breaker is a 20amp(button broke during shipping) it has the Shore Power plug wired in, per diagram instructions. But i am wondering if it should be a 30amp breaker.

Depends on the feeder gauge wire, but yes, you’d typically expect a 30a mains from the power inlet. You’d expect 10awg for a 30a feed.

Its also possible someone replaced it already and used a 20a/15a split as thats what was handy.

These do come in a variety of combo flavors, but price and availability may limit the decision to purchase.

I would think a 30amp breaker with the wire from the cord to the breaker screw would protect and act as a main shut off to everything else. It looks like you only have room for two breaker spots left. You will need a 20 for the AC and a double 15 for everything else
