Oldish Coleman

Hi Everyone. Been around here from time to time, but now I'm looking to make some improvements to our little Coleman so I'll probably be seeking some inspiration here. We have a 1993 Coleman Sedona which we purchased new back in the day. It's now on its 6th tow vehicle (a new Hyundai Ioniq 5)! Other than some Yakima crossbars on top and some extra wiring for my amateur radio it's pretty much stock. I'm a little concerned about parts availability these days, but it's a relatively simple model so there are not a lot of fancy pieces to fail us. The awning did rot away a few years ago, but even the Evolution 3 tenting is still in pretty good shape (we don't get it out in the elements as much as we might). I'd really like to come up with an AC solution for it (we did get the optional furnace when we purchased), but I'm a little concerned about adding more weight to the roof, and I think there may not be enough space for the crossbars and the AC unit. Would love to hear if anyone's managed it on these smaller models. I'd also like to replace the awning if I can find one short enough.

Thanks for reading!

Some people use those portable residential ACs in popups. See if the measurements and stuff work before you mess with a stock classic!

Glad to see there is someone else out there with one of these. They are fairly rare, having only been sold in 92 and 93. The single bed up front is a little weird.

Especially if they have a storage shelf for a bed on one side of the camper. And, just looking, the price on them has come down. The used to be 600$ now a 8000 btu unit is like 350. So worth it to give it a shot.
