I hope the driver was OK. It looked like they might have been hurt pretty badly. That may be a Darwin award.

Holy S#1t !! <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle alt="Shock">

If that is real, that had to hurt! Didn't it seem as though he was goin' a little fast on the initial approach? I'd have been creeping along real slow with my head aimed at the mirror or out the door looking up at my trailer.

Our bank has a talking ATM with a British accent. Just think about what the small voice in the ATM was saying:

"Thank you for banking with . . . OMG. We are sorry, your account is now closed . . . Where did you learn to drive, you stupid bloody yank? Were you even on the right side of the road?"

Here is a link to a Similar (Exact Topic) thread about this with some Still Pics posted.

Check it out. The Link to Common Topic

The Video looks a bit different than the still pics, and I actually might say that this driver is not entirely at fault.

There's more discussion at that other topic, so I recommend that y'all look there as well. The very first post contains a link to the same video that we see here, and then the still pics.

Anyhow... check it out folks. <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_cowboy.gif border=0 align=middle alt="Cowboy Camper">

Thanks for the link to the still pics. I, too, am very glad that no one was injured in this unfortunate accident. I also agree with your other posts about the building structure not being right.

Thank God noone else was sitting at the teller's window in the other lane. There could have been multiple cars and therefore fatalities uner that awning.
The article I read said it was a Brand New 5er, and they were on their way out for the first time with it. He wasn't intending on using the ATM, he was trying to circle the bank to find a spot to park to go in and get $$ for the trip... It happened on July 2nd - guess his 4th of July weekend sucked...

Can you even imagine?? Really and truly, what would you do? I can just imagine him standing there w/ his kid, looking around in shock. And to imagine the what if's....it would be unbearable.

I'm just so shocked at the fact that the ATM awning just folded like that. That had to be some pretty shoddy craftmanship, or perhaps it was designed to do that???
I'm just glad that everyone is OK and no one got hurt.

Lucky *******? <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle alt="Shock"> Got that part right!!

I don't think this would have been/or should have been designed to fall like that. As others have posted... thank God there were no others under that canopy when this happened.

I really like lyz's post. I mean really.... can you actually put yourself in this position? What If ?? Jeepers. I know I'd have crapped my pants if I actually did this. <hr>
Chuck, I'm curious...

What's DWHUA mean? <img src=../Images/icons/icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle alt="Question">
