Hope you people can help me-I have read some of the posts on roof repairs for Coleman campers. Ours has just developed hairline cracks. We asked for the MEK at our local HD but they didn't know what we were talking about. We picked up some Loctite marine epoxy for fiberglass. Is this what we need? We don't know a lot about popups but we are learning thanks to POP. Anybody willing to walk me thru this(or more like pull me) All help is appreciated. [?:~{]

I just picked up a 2001 Coleman Mesa the roof is fine but I'm taking it straight to the bed liner place the first sign of cracking.

That seems to be the best way to stop it. It will seal and coat it and block all of the UV light.

Of course this will cost me..

I have been fixing the holes and cracks in the storage bunk and back end with JB-Weld Strong and paint-able. It will flex as well so it will not pop out like other things.

I've used it to fix so many ABS plastic bumpers over the years..

I want to say I have an '06 Coleman Sante FE. We first noticed the cracks when we got it out from a covered storage lsat month. There are several around the edge I know but I also need to check the top a little better.

If it's a 2006 it isn't an ABS roof...It would be aluminum skin which Methyl Ethyl Keytone will do nothing for. Pictures are worth 1000 words...

A 2001 would have an ABS roof. MEK should be available from a good paint store, large hobby shop or maybe in a last ditch effort a place that does screen printing. Get that, some old white legos submerge the legos in the mek and fill the cracks...You can buy white abs for repair online (and I probably would...once the cracks start you will get more)

I researched every thread i could on here about what to do for my dozens of hairline cracks and the more I read about Grizzly Grip the more I liked it. So I just painted mine a couple months ago with it http://grizzlygrip.com/Color_Chart-content.aspx and it turned out great no more hairlines and filled in a couple gauges form previous owner. It is a little pricey but from what I've read and researched on here and the internet I don't think I'll have anymore cracks. ( I HOPE ) Good Luck }<))))0>

How did the Grizzly Grip work on your Niagara? I have exact same camper. Already repaired delamenation places with gorilla glue. Ordered the grizzly grip and am waiting on delivery. Hoping it gives another 5 yrs to this roof. Did you do the storage box lid as well? I had to completely rebuild the box due to cracking in the valley behind the lid. Used rv roof tape and so far no leaks. Do you have any pics of your painted roof?

Doing good so far, I did it back in March but I'll have to get some pics put on here. Don't have any yet. I used Grizzly on everything but the sides were it's aluminum.
