Hi there!

Any help is appreciated!

We purchased a 2022 Flagstaff HW tent camper recently. We are complete newbs and somehow managed to pull the shower curtain track off the ceiling and bend it beyond repair while raising the roof. It’s a foolish mistake but we are learning from scratch.

Is there anywhere to purchase a replacement?

I’ve also found this item on Amazon and wonder if anyone has has experience with something similar?

DartAnt Heavy Duty Flexible Curtain Track Ceiling Mount, Bendable Room Divider Ceiling Track, Curved Curtain Rods for Bunk Beds, Ceiling Shower Curtains, RV Camper Curtains, Privacy (10ft (3.05m)) https://a.co/d/0zyBq18

Thank you for allowing me to come here to look for help!

That's too bad and i'm sorry that happend. We also have a HW (Rockwood HW277 which is the twin to the Flagstaff model) and our shower curtain sometimes gets stuck in the dinette slide, which could have been what happened to you.

Check out https://www.hannarv.com/C/6796/Rockwood?pageNumber=2&pageSize=20&sort=0, they have a good selection of PopUp parts. You could also reach out to the dealer you bought the trailer from as they should be able to track something down for you.

I'd be very careful adding anything after market, especially if it involves drilling anything into the ceiling. That's not something I'd be be comfortable doing with a new trailer.

Best of luck!

Hey! I appreciate that info. I too am worried about non-professional installation. I’m also concerned about the replacement costs. I will reach out to our dealership, but we are dealing with treacherous winter weather, so there is no one in the office for a few days. Right now I’m just sussing out any information that might be helpful. You’ve been very helpful! Thanks so much!

I was also thinking you should look at how the original track was mounted to the ceiling. If it was screwed in, you could potentially use the same screw holes and the same length of screw. You may need to slighter wider screw, or wrap the screw in something like teflon tape to give a more secure connection.

Another option would be using a really good double sided adhesive tape, like 3M VHB, it's expensive but it works very well.

Using the original screw holes with a slightly wider screw was my thought, too. The adhesive tape is another option. I’ve used Gorilla heavy-duty double sided tape for a few other projects and it’s an option.
Thanks so much for the follow up!

I will just add, that the replacement you listed may work, but we dont know. The factory one will work. So, weigh the options, and give it a try or not. I dont know the cost diffrence. If you have to drill out the amazon one to line up the mounting holes, I would definitely do that if I were to use it.

Possible to use a spring rod?
Similar to what’s used in a residence??

Use some liquid nails or some other kinda filler on the holes and the OEM screws might go right back in and hold fine :)

This one is flexible with a heat gun. You can run it just inside the valance track and have more room in your shower. I threw away the original track.

Are we talking about the shower curtain (around the toilet) or the privacy curtain (runs across the width)?
If it's the privacy curtain, once you install the new one, I recommend tucking it into one big loose knot (sorry don't have a pic) before lowering the roof. That way it will keep it clear of anything sliding in and out, as like Annuzi said that's probably how it happened. If you have the roman blinds (which I think the 2022 models switched to curtains) you have to tie them up too, as they are prone to getting caught up.

Luckily this is not a bad mistake and hopefully you can still camp until you sort out fix, although sounds like it might be a while due to your weather!

Unfortunately you might have to get used to coming up with your own fix/parts/alternatives on these models. When I first got my HW someone recommended keeping a 'baggy for the screws & bits' Sure enough, every time I open up for the season, I'll find a screw or bit laying on the floor & have to figure out where it came from, all part of the fun!! [LOL]

Good luck and let us know what you finally end up doing for the fix.
