Very nice. I’m a few years off but will have to go to the dark side at some point . Abused my back as young man and it’s starting to catch up to me. Enjoy your new TT!

Back to this camper [:!] and on to its repairs. The support with hing for the murphy type bed was busted by the previous owners. The tiny little piece of support is already out and on the table as seen in the top photo. I'll replace it with 2" x1" plywood. Next 2 photo is where it was. P1060739.jpg P1060738.jpg P1060737.jpg

The aluminum hing that the Murphy bed swings up on was a light as a beer can. It was replaced with a steel one that was longer. (its not seen in photos) The wood it was attached to was replaced with plywood that was stacked up and glued together to become the correct height. This can be seen in the 2st photos. In the bottom pic is reinforcement added to the end that was bust out by lifting the bed up againt the down-lock mechanism. Not seen was the large decals added to indicate that the bed is locked down and must released. Gosh this was a poor setup. P1060750.jpg P1060753.jpg P1060759.jpg

Top photo is 3/4 plywood added to the back side to help the paneling with some rigidity. I didn't know you could buy paneling this thin! Bottom photo is the reinforcement "bed lock up angles" that hold the bed in the up position. The originals were tiny and pulling that corner trim right apart. I added screws to everything I could. Top photo shows the decal that describes the lock down system that must be released in order to raise the bed. I kid you not! Is in the back of the bed! (seen here the couch back is down) Also seen here is the new HD hinge. Bottom pics is the decals I added to show and state the bed release knob. P1060788.jpg P1060786.jpg P1060787.jpg

Ok, been camping and fixing on this camper. Its sooooo lightly built we are planning to get rid of it in the next 5 years or less years. Nonetheless, our camping comfort is UP! We've had it out aobut 4 times and will be out agian next weekend. We have been at sites with water and power. (water specket, not hooked direclty to it)

Here is the 14" tall Stainless backsplash I added yesterday. Its got high strength double-side tape on its backside plus the SS screws you can see. These go into plastic expanding screw anchors, or whatever they are called. The paneling is less than 1/4 thick. Seems the backsplash was made as a temporarily put on your stove top to retain wok or grease splash. backsplash0557.jpg backsplash559.jpg
